Alex Berson, Founder - Alex Berson is an internationally recognized expert, author and educator in various areas of information technologies. For the last three years he has been employed by BearingPoint (NYSE:BE), a leading global management and technology consulting company, where he is a BearingPoint Fellow and the Director leading Customer Identity Management practice. Prior to joining BearingPoint Alex Berson held key technology and management positions in companies like Entrust, Merrill Lynch, enCommerce, Dun & Bradstreet, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Solomon Smith Barney and other, including executive roles of co-CTO for Entrust Inc.(NASD: ENTU), CTO of enCommerce (Internet Security company), and CTO of TechPar Group – a boutique strategic business and technology advisory company.Mr. Berson holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in Computer Sciences and Applied Math, and focuses his professional activities on Identity Management and Information Security; Master Data Management (MDM), Customer Data Integration (CDI), CRM and BI; Risk and Compliance; data warehousing and data mining; Web Services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA); transaction processing; enterprise application integration (EAI), messaging and middleware; distributed computing; and object technologies.

Mr. Berson is member of Standard & Poor’s Vista Research Society of Industrial Leaders (SIL). He is also an active member of industry professional associations like IEEE Computer Society, ACM and Aberdeen Group’s Technology Forecasting Consortium; standards organizations including OMG, OASIS, Open Group, and various industry consortia including Securities Industry Middleware Council (SIMC) and the Data Warehousing Institute. As Entrust’ Chief Technology Officer for Portal Technologies and Applications, Alex Berson was the initiator and a founding member of several standards activities including OASIS Technical Committees on Security Services (SAML), XML Access Control (XACML), and Business Transaction Processing (BTP).

Alex Berson sits on the advisory boards of several technology and financial services companies. He has published numerous technical articles in trade magazines, and is a best-selling author and co-author of a number of professional best selling books including “Master Data Management and Customer Data Integration for a Global Enterprise”, "Building Data Mining Applications for CRM”,  "Data Warehousing, Data Mining and OLAP"; "Client/Server Architecture"; "SYBASE and Client/Server Computing"; and  "APPC: Introduction to LU6.2".  He is the editor of the prestigious BearingPoint Financial Services Technology Journal a is the editor of the prestigious BearingPoint Financial Services Technology Journal and a frequent contributor to this and other professional publications where he authored a number of direction-setting white papers including articles on cross-disciplined convergence strategies, customer identity management, enterprise entitlements, enterprise data management, data security, and digitization.
